Was brasilianische Demos betrifft muss ich zugeben, dass ich nicht viele besitze. Nur langsam bekomme ich ein paar mehr zusammen, und hoffe es werden mir noch mehr angeboten! Natürlich gab es in dem riesigen Land eine Unmenge von Demos, welche aber heute sehr schwierig zu besorgen sind. Von den vielen Bands aus den Achzigern ist es fast unmöglich etwas zu finden. Speziell von den schnellen Ultra Tharsh Bands und den brutalen Death Thrash Truppen gab es da noch sehr viele. Fünf mal überspielte Versionen habe ich noch von geilen ultra speed Thrash Bands wie: COVA (Rehearsal Demo,`87), HAMMERHEAD (Bring the hammer down, 1988); NIGHTMARE (Raising from holocaust,`87); GUILLOTINE (Rehearsal `88); NECROMANCER (Demo`86)! Wer hat davon Cover (selbes zu der grossartigen Speed Metal Band HAGGAR von 1995)?

Die Demos zu den Bands die Alben veröffentlicht haben, sind natürlich in den jeweiligen Band Chapters. Underground Kassetten mit Mädels am Mikro sind bei der "Brazil Maidens" Sektion! Die heutigen Demo Release auf CD sind mit eigenen Chapters vertreten. Hier gibt es also nur alte Kost auf Kassette. Hier also eine kleine Auswahl, die hoffentlich noch wachsen wird. Diese Seite soll all der grossartigen Bands gedenken, die es nie schafften eine LP oder CD zu machen, und deshalb schnell vergessen werden! Ich versuche die Sachen ungefähr in alphabetischer Reihenfolge zu lassen.
Interessant ist, dass jetzt die ersten alten Demo und Live Aufnamen als Bootleg auftauchen! Mir ist eine CD-R Aufnahme eines Konzerts von CERBERO aus Sao Pualo von 1984 in die Hände gefallen. Der Sound ist sehr schlecht, aber man erkennt, dass ihre Musik damals super schneller Power / Speed Metal war! Zufällig hat mich auch der alte Band Leader Marco Tonalezzi kontaktet, und mir ein paar schöne Pics und Flyer geschickt! Die Band gab es seit 1980 und er und sein Bruder Carlos waren die Gitarristen, und sie haben ihre Instrumente wirklich prächtig sägen und quietschen lassen! Schade, dass es damals nicht geklappt hatte einmal etwas professionell aufzunehmen! Sie bekamen 1985 einen Vertrag von "Baratos Afins" angeboten, waren da aber schon in die USA unterwegs, um es dort zu schaffen, ...was dann auch in die Hose ging! Aber es gibt auch echte Liebhaber dieses 80er Garagensounds, die ihre Aufnahmen genau mit diesem Klang haben wollen! Eine Band davon ist WYTCHKRAFT (siehe extra Chapter), aber da sind noch mehr wie zum Beispiel METAL SATAN! Deren Demo von 2003 klingt genauso wie meine CERBERO Live Aufnahmen von 1984!

Compared to Argentina and Mexico I own not many demos from Brazil! I hope I can change this with this web page, as I ask everybody if he can sell or trade me old original demos in the direction Hard Rock, Metal; normal Thrash. I could also use first grade copies with laser copy of the cover. Slowly I get more of them and can now in 2004 include a bit bigger section! But still this is only a fraction of what was released! You can imagine in such a big country, there are tons of demos, and from the 80s it is almost impossible to get originals! Especially the old Death / Thrash bands are very much collectible. I have for example five times dubbed copies of great ultra speed Thrash bands like: COVA (Rehearsal Demo,`87), HAMMERHEAD (Bring the hammer down, 1988); NIGHTMARE (Raising from holocaust,`87); GUILLOTINE (Rehearsal `88); NECROMANCER (Demo`86)! Who has good copies of those and others, and Cover scans (same with the great Speed Metal Band HAGGAR from 1995)??

If I have demos from bands with albums, I put them of course in the band chapters. This section is strictly for bands who never made an official album! Underground Cassettes with female singers are in the "Brazil Maidens" section! The modern Demo releases on CD I put also in seperate chapters for each band. This section is only for the good old Demo Cassettes! I hope this section will grow even more in the future, to commemorate all the great bands who could not succeed with the release of an LP or CD! I try to put the images in alphabelical order!
Interesting is, that now appear the first old demo and live recordings as bootlegs! From somewhere I received a CD-R from a concert from CERBERO from Sao Paulo in 1984. The sound is really bad, but you can realize that they played great and fast Power / Speed Metal! Just by accident I was contacted now by the old band leader Marco Tonalezzi, who send me some great old pics and flyer! The band existed since 1980 and he and his brother Carlos were the guitar players, and they let their instruments very much scream and shred, how every traditional Metal fan likes it! Too bad they never were able to record this material professionally! They received in 1985 an offer from the label "Baratos Afins", but at this time they were already on the way into the USA, to make it there, .....what never happened! But there are still bands who like to have this old extremely raw 80s sound on purpose in their recordings! WYTCHKRAFT is one of those (see chapter for them), but there are more, like the new band METAL SATAN! Their demo 2003 sounds almost as my CERBERO live recordings from 1984!

Comparando com Argentina e México, eu não possuo muitas demos do Brasil! Espero poder mudar este quadro com esta página, já que peço a todos aqueles que queiram vender ou trocar demos antigas e originais de Hard Rock, Metal e Thrash para entrarem em contato. Eu posso usar também cópia das demos originais com as capas impressas em laser. Aos poucos eu estou adquirindo algumas e posso agora, em 2004, incluir uma seção um pouco maior! No entanto, esta ainda é apenas uma fração do que já foi lançado! Vocês podem imaginar que num país tão grande, há milhares de demos e, dos anos 80, é quase impossível de se conseguir as originais! Principalmente as demos das antigas bandas de Death/ Thrash que são itens de colecionador. Se eu tenho demos de bandas brasileiras com álbuns, eu as coloco na seção de bandas. Este espaço é exclusivamente para bandas que nunca lançaram nenhum álbum oficial! Fitas cassetes com vocalistas mulheres estão na seção "Brazil Maiden"! Espero que esta seção cresça muito mais no futuro para celebrar todas as grandes bandas que não puderam lançar seu LP ou CD! Eu tentarei colocá-las em ordem alfabética! Interessante é que agora aparecem as primeiras demos e apresentações antigas em piratas! De algum lugar eu recebi um CD-R de um show do CERBERO em São Paulo, 1984. O som é péssimo, mas dá para perceber que a banda toca um ótimo Power/ Speed Metal! Por acidente, um antigo líder da banda, Marcos Tonalezzi, me contactou e me enviou ótimas fotos e flyers antigos! A banda existiu desde 1980 e ele e seu irmão, Carlos, eram os guitarristas e deixavam seus intrumentos soaram bem rasgados e gritantes, exatamente como todo fã de Metal tradicional gosta! Infelizmente eles nunca conseguiram gravar suas músicas profissionalmente! Receberam, em 1985 um oferta da gravadora "Baratos e Afins", mas nesta época eles já estavam a caminho dos EUA, para gravar por lá... o que nunca aconteceu! No entanto, ainda há bandas que gostam de ter esta sonoridade extremamente crua dos anos 80 em suas gravações! WYTCHKRAFT é uma delas (vejam o capítulo de bandas), mas há mais bandas como a nova METAL SATAN! A demo deles de 2003 soa quase como minhas gravações do CERBERO ao vivo de 1984!
