Das "Metal Imperium" des melodiösen Speed Metal in Argentinien, existiert seit 1996, als ich sie als Vorgruppe von MALON mächtig einheizen sah. Ihr Stil ist sehr alemannisch, und nachdem sie einen Keyboarder anheuerten werden sie noch atmosphärischer, haben aber trotzdem genug Power und Eigenständigkeit. Einer der Gründer war der Sänger Christian Bertoncelli, der mal bei HORCAS war, und mit an deren dritten Album geschrieben, aber nichts aufgenommen hat. Er fand noch andere gute Musiker, inklusive einem koreanischen Gitarristen der in Deutschland geboren ist. Live sind sie total aktiv, und eröffnen schon 1997 für GAMMA RAY und später für viele andere internationale Acts. Die Brüder Gonzales stiegen als neuer Drummer und Gitarrist ein. 1998 können sie auf dem grossen "Metal Rock" Festival spielen, und sind mit einem Song auf deren Sampler vertreten.
1999 können sie dann ihr erstes Album als Eigenpressung herausbringen. Die 1000 Stück Auflage ist dann in einem Monat ausverkauft, und sie werden bis Japan bekannt, wo eine Lizenzpressung erscheint. Der Koreaner musste dann aus gesundheitlichen Gründen aussteigen. So wechselt Juan Gonzales von Bass zu Gitarre, und ein Cousin übernimmt den Bass, und ein neuer sehr talentierter Keyboarder übernimmt. Das erste Album erscheint dann nochmal, mit den 3 Bonustracks von der Japan Version. Die neue CD enthält dann noch mehr Keyboards und Teutonic Metal Einflüsse. Ob das der richtige Weg war weiss ich nicht, da es mittlerweile hunderte solcher Bands gab, auch wenn diese Jungs absolutes Talent hatten. Aber die Argentinier liebten sie dafür, und sie waren auf dem Weg eine der beliebtesten Bands im Land zu werden und belegten mehrere erste Plätze im Poll der grössten Metal Zeitschrift "Epopeya"! Dann trennten sie sich vom Keyboarder und wollten mehr straight und powervoll spielen, was man auf ihrem Konzert im April 2001 sehen konnte. Dann kam Mitte 2001 die total überraschende Mitteilung, dass sie sich aufgelöst haben, weil einige Mitglieder nicht hart genug gearbeitet haben!? Der Sänger und ein Gitarrist sind sofort dannach Live unterwegs unter dem neuen Namen RENACER. Deren erstes Album enthielt noch eine Bonus CD mit unveröffentlichten IMPERIO Stücken, und die Band spielt bald wieder in der ersten Liga des Landes. Die anderen Jungs gründen PIRAMIDE, welche eine gute CD herausbringt, und man hört dannach nichts mehr von ihnen.
Im Jahre 2005 bringt der alte Manager noch eine CD mit unveröffentlichten Sachen heraus. Darauf sind Demo Songs von 1997, eine V8 Cover Version, Live Stücke und 2 Video Clips.

This "Metal Empire" of melodic Speed Metal in the German style, exist since 1996. One of the founding members was the great singer Christian Bertoncelli, who was short time member of HORCAS, and wrote some lyrics for their third album, but left the band before he recorded anything. Already 1997 they opened for GAMMA RAY and later for many other international bands. The brothers Gonzales joined as new drummer and guitar player. In 1998 they played on the big "Metal Rock" festival and had one song on the compilation, belonging to it. 1999 was the first album released, completely independent and in 1000 copies. These were sold out in one month, and they got known till Japan, where the album got a license deal. Sadly the Korean guitar player had to quit because of health problems. So Juan Gonzales switched from bass to guitar, and a cousin, Gabriel Gonzales took over the bass, and a new very talented keyboarder joined. The first album got released again, including the 3 bonus tracks from the Japanese version. The new CD includes more keyboard, and even more Teutonic Metal. As there are now hundreds of bands around in this style (especially from Italy), it was clear, that it will be hard to get international recognition, even as absolutely skilled musicians. But the Argentine fans loved them for that and they were on the way to become one of the biggest bands in the country. They got some first ranks at the polls of the biggest Metal mag in the coutry, "Epopeya". But they seemed not to be too happy with their sound, and in the beginning of this year the keyboarder left. They started now to play more straight and powerful, what I liked much more. Finally the news came like a shock, that they split in mid 2001! The singer and one guitar player were soon very active again under the new name RENACER. Their first album contained a bonus CD with unreleased IMPERIO tracks, and the band played soon in the first row of national Metal bands. The other guys founded the band PIRAMIDE, which released one goode CD, but seems to have disappeared after this.
In 2005 the old manager fabricated a CD with unreleased material. It contains demo songs from 1997, a V8 cover version, live tracks and 2 video clips.

Este imperio de Metal Melodico/Speed en el estilo Aleman existe desde 1996. Uno de los fundadores de esta banda lo es el gran cantante Christian Bertonchelli, quien por un tiempo fue cantante de HORCAS y escribio algunas de las canciones de su tercer disco, dejo la banda antes de grabar algo con ellos. Ya para el 97, fueron teloneros de GAMMA RAY y luego de otros grupos internacionales. Los hermanos Gonzales entran a la banda como nuevo baterista y guitarrista. En 1998 tocaron en el gran festival "Metal Rock" y graban una cancion que va a la recopilacion de este evento. En 1999 graban su primera produccion y esta completamente independiente con una tirada de 1000 copias, las que se vendieron en un mes y fueron reconocidos hasta Japon donde logran una licencia, para vender su producto. Tristemente el guitarrista de descendencia Coreana deja la banada por problemas de salud, asi que Juan Gonzales cambia de bajo a guitarra y su primo Gabriel Gonzales toma el bajo ademas de un nuevo buen tecladista. El primer album se vuelve a sacar con las tres canciones de bono de la version Japonesa. El nuevo disco tiene mas teclados y esta mas en el estilo que estan siguiendo muchas bandas (por ejemplo las Italianas) lo que les hara mas dificil un reconocimiento internacional, aunque son tremendos musicos. Pero los Argentinos los aman por esto y estan en camino de ser una de las mas grandes bandas del pais, ademas han tenido las mas altas puntuaciones en la mas famosa de las revistas de Metal en Argentina ("Epopeya"), sin embargo parece que no estuvieron muy complacidos con el sonido que tiene la banda y a principios de este año el tecladista dejo la banda, y han empezado a tocar mas pesado y mas fuerte. Finalmente la noticia de que se separaron a mitad de 2001 ha llegado de sorpresa, y el cantante y uno de los guitarristas han formado rapido una banda bajo el nombre de RENACER.
