Diese 3er Truppe fing 1983 als FAHRENHEIT an, und nach einem Wechsel im Line Up nahmen sie den Namen 2112 an. Wie dieser Name vermuten läßt, frönten sie dem Stil von RUSH. Es wird also progressiver Stoff geboten, zum Glück aber mit reichlich guten Gitarren, was die erste Scheibe auch für unsereins interessant macht. Es dauerte lange bis das erste Album erscheinen konnte, und auch das zweite liess lange auf sich warten. Dort hatten sie sich mit einem festen Keyboarder verstärkt, was das ganze melodischer und eingängiger machte, aber immer noch progressiv war. Für ihre dritte Scheibe brauchten sie dann volle 6 Jahre. Der Basser / Sänger verliess die Band, und sie stellten wieder ihren allerersten aus Gründungstagen ein. Da sie vom zweiten Album viel im Ausland verkauften, wurde es in englisch eingesungen, und wieder ein Stilwechsel vorgenommen. Es ist immer noch recht progressiv, aber jetzt mit mehr normalen Rock Einflüssen, und weniger Metal!
Die erste Scheibe ist mittlerweile selten.

This triplet started in 1983 under the name FAHRENHEIT, but after the singer left they changed it to 2112. The name was taken from the famous RUSH album. They played the same style, like at this heaviest album of their idols. You will find lots of good guitars on this albums, and Prog Metal fans will like it. It took a long time till the first album was released and also the second one needed 4 years. At this time they hired a keyboard player as 4th member, which makes the album more melodic and straighter, but which still is progressive.
For the third album they needed another 6 years. The bass player / singer left them and they hired again the very first guy who had this job in the beginning! As they sold a lot of their second album outside, the third one was recorded in English. There was also a change to more Rock style music with progessive influences.
The first LP is already rare now!
